About me
Tutoring children is a very fulfilling role, especially when I see my student has grown in confidence and subject knowledge. I love receiving messages from parents when their child has passed an assessment, achieved their pen license, become a student representative etc.
I have worked in both primary and secondary schools and supported adults to work in primary schools as well as early years. I have helped adults to gain the skills to work as a Teaching Assistant or Childcare supporter in various schools around London. I have supported the school to implement and update policies, and integrate the procedures amongst the staff.
I work tirelessly to stay updated with the latest curriculum changes, attain the best resources to teach, and develop a tailored learning package.
I have students in England, Shanghai, and Beijing. I am hoping to branch out into other countries.
My experience is that online can be just as beneficial as in-person tutoring because the student will develop IT skills and most assessments are sat online. Children also develop research skills and are able to adapt to the workforce in the future with a lot more confidence.
My Story
I have privately tutored for 18 years, and have streamlined my work with children, who are within 4–16+ years of age.
I started tutoring in 2004 as a successful university student in science (hons) degree. I studied QTLS to teach and completed MSc Neuroscience in 2010 so I understand how the developing brain functions and how learning occurs. I also studied a Childcare course and achieved a TAQA qualification to support adults to work with children. I absolutely love tutoring whether it's online or in-person.
I have worked in-person around London and focused on private and some grammar schools, however I have also supported children to gain entry into boarding schools, and other good schools around England. Some children have won awards in Science and Math's competitions.
