"Inspire to Greatness"
I have an MSc in Neuroscience from King’s College London. My neurodevelopmental education has provided me with great insight on teaching and how learning occurs in a child's brain. I learned how new information is registered in the hippocampus, and navigated by my pre-frontal cortex (PFC). The PFC is where higher cognitive decisions are made, and this is not fully matured until 20-25 years old, hence why math problem-solving and comprehension questions can be challenging for children.
I developed my teaching methodology based on my scientific research in neuroscience and my experience as a teacher and tutor. I specialise in topics such as memory, learning strategies, emotional well-being and more.
There are two types of learning-
1) Focused Mode
2) Diffused Mode
I provide tutoring sessions that allow students to learn in diffused mode and focused mode. My goal is to help students reach their full potential by breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable chunks that can be easily remembered. Through this approach, I help them to achieve success in their studies, reach their academic goals and improve their well-being.

We are absolutely delighted with the positive impact Michelle's tutoring had on our son Leo*. We started the tutoring with a view to having extra support around core subjects maths and English as well as VR and Non-VR. Leo really likes the online sessions with Michelle as she is fun, friendly, approachable and completely un-intimidating. Leo said it was good to go over things he has learned in school as where he had understood in a superficial way, he was able to really understand the topic in depth with the 1.1 attention.
This resulted in an offer from St Dunstan's - when we received the news, the first person Leo wanted to tell was Michelle!
